Day 6,7 and the flight home.

Day 6 was saturday we spent the morning helping Grandpa clean up the church. He did the bathrooms and we did the vaccuuming. It was fun but man those churches sure do have alot of carpet!! The next day was sun we forgot to pack church clothes so we all stayed home watched movies cleaned and packed up our bags. This pic was of Erilyn on the way to the Air port...the first time.

We got to the airport about 11 for our 105 flight. We said our good byes and went to check in it said that our flight was delayed. We hadnt noticed a call from the airport so we figured it wasnt that long of a delay....we look at the screen it says our flight is now schdualed to take off at 7pm!! We hurry and call Grandpa who turns around to come get us so we arent stranded at the air port for 7 hours. He says he was on his way to go get some shopping done. So we decided to tag along. After That we went to the mall. This is a picture of grandpa Troy with Erilyn and a big bear or rawr as Erilyn calls them.

Yes i know this pic is blury but i thought it was cute how she was posing for the camera. After the mall we decided to watch a movie then go out to dinner before heading back to the airport.

When we got back to check in for a second time we found our flight was now delayed 10 hours!! And was schedualed to take off at 11 we decided to let grandpa go home and tough out the next 6 hours at the airport so we checked our bags and went thru security only to find that our flight was now delayed till 1145. GREAT! Now keep in mind that Alaska is 2 hours behind Utah time wich ment that was really almost 2 in the morning!!

They had these really cool benches everywhere. We tried and tried to get Erilyn to fall asleep before we boarded the plane but had no luck. Wich ment there was a mayjor melt down when she couldnt run around any more but it didnt last long. Once they turned off the lights and we took off (wich was at midnight) she was out. And slept the whole way home. We landed in Salt Lake at 630 am. At wich piont she was wide awake. Travis mom picked us up and offered to take Erilyn with them so we could rest since it didnt happen on the plane. It was a very good idea she didnt go back to sleep and we were able to take a 4 hour nap and gat some unpacking done with out a helper.

This is a picture take from the plane window of the clouds and alittle bit of a sun rise. Over all we had a Balst in Alaska it was beautifull and and Troy spioled us with lots of fun adventures. But i have to say im a city girl! I love the fact that there are 4 stores with in a few mins from my house and that we are close to EVERYTHING driving an hour to get any where got pretty old fast hahaha. I want to thank Troy for Letting us crash at his house and for letting Erilyn trash it haha. Also for paying for the train and baot ride. They are deffinantly memories to last a life time!

Alaska days 3,4, and 5.

On day 3 we decide to check out the mall we stopped for some soup and searched some stores. This is whats in the center of the mall.

The next day we woke up Early so we could go on a Glacier tour on the way there we stopped at Wendys breakfast it was amazing!!

Then we stopped at the Alaska wildlife preserve this is a muskox.

Antalope.

If you look close at the water you can see a bear head he was playing with a stick in the water.

Moose.

We also stopped to look at some red trout.

Then we went through this a tunnel that took 7 min to get through.

Some seals hanging out on a rock in the middle of the ocean.

The front of our ship it was called the Klondike express.

If you look closely you can see a baby black bear on the shore.

Glacier.

They gave Erilyn a coloring book and crayons she was in heavan.

The glacier calfing or a fancy word for a piece falling off you can see the begining of a splash that turned into a wave and shook the boat.

Erilyn trying nachos for the first time. They gave us fish and chips on the boat (Erilyn got a kids meal a hot dog, chips and a fruit cup) but uncle Matt was still hungry so he ordered a pizza and said they would bring it to him when it was  done in about 20 min. half an hour later he went up to see what was taking so long and they had gotten so busy they had forgotten to put it in the oven. And it would be about half an hour. 45 min later they brought it with a voucher for a free snack itam we decided to get some nachos Erilyn loved them as you can see.

Proof we saw a glacier in person!! The next day we spent hanging out at Grandpa Troys and exploring his acre of land. The boys also helped grandpa break out some cement .



ALASKA: The flight, Day 1, and day 2.

Entertaining her self trying to keep her self awake while we waited for our plane that was half an hour late.

These nice people gave her an Ipad of some sort so she could play games.



Ready for take off!! Even though she an unticketed infant in arms we were lucky ebough to havean empty seat next to us on both flights. Wich worked out  REALLY since she ended up sleeping most of both flights. We didnt have to hold her the whole time and she could sleep better.



we spent the next day catching up on sleep, relaxing, and stocking up on junk food. wal mart was an hour drive away!! This is what the road looked like about 100 feet before the wal mart.

On the way home we stopped for the best ice cream in the world!

The next day we went on a train ride we had to wear these pins on our shirts so the staff knew we were aloud to be in spacific train car.

LOVE this pic!! Just looking out at how beautiful alaska is.

our train car was a " dome car" meaning it was almost completely glass so we could see really well. :-D

When we got to our destination we had about 5 hours to kill so we loaded up on a free shuttle to go into town. We went to an aqauriuam Erilyn loved it!!

I got to pet these Erilyn was scared and want to play the water instad of touch them there was also jelly fish you could touch.

Erilyn watched this guy for ever he didnt really move much either till later.

After the aquarium we walked around and found somwhere to eat then we found a park the boys played horse shoes while me and Erilyn played at a near by park. This piture was taken right before she slid out and bonked her head.
