Thanksgiving 2022.

Our thanksgiving started the sat before with a drive to Duchesne for lunch with Travis' side of the family.

There was snow in the mountains on our way! We haven't gotten much in the valleys yet this year.

And a pretty sunset coming out of the canyon.

On thanksgiving day we had lunch at my moms house with Kamrins family, Connors wife, my parents and us it was so fun! My mom made theses cute appetizers to eat while we waited for anything else to finish up.

We got home and got the itch to set up for Christmas here Erilyn is putting the star on the tree.

And some Cheeto cuddles to end the night!

Christmas lists 2022

AS per tradition the kids put their lists out the sat night before thanksgiving for Santa to pick up.

They have to go inside by the door though because of out squirrel issue. The Kids also put out milk cookies and carrots.

HE CAME!

At some point in the night one of the cats knocked over the plate but you can see they ate a lot of it.

They got their Christmas pjs...

And stuff to make breakfast including a Christmas wafffle maker waffle mix and hot cocoa mix.

The kids like to make eggs in the waffle maker to.

Erilyn was being a typical pre-teen and wouldn't pose for  a picture in the morning but she did pose for one right before bed.

Another ER visit for Korbyn a broken thumb

On Wed the 16th I got a call from the school about 1:40. The school secretary said that Korbyn was in the office and his thumb was really swollen and he was crying. If you know Korbyn you know that the kids does not cry very often when he is hurt. He will usually hide it from people and doesn't like people to know he is in pain. So when she said he was crying I knew something was seriously wrong!
I got the girls figured out and headed up to primary childrens as I was 98% it was broken and we would end up there anyway. The ER was packed so we had to park far away from the ER and walk over. He was being so brave! They admitted us right away but they were a little backed up. He was the only one there for an injury everyone else had gross coughs. This is a comparison of his thumbs The white spot on the swollen thumb is where the break is. They gave him some ibuprofen and an x-ray then we waited for a room.

An hour later he got a room and was excited to watch some tv while We waited an hour for them to read the x-ray.

They finally came in and said he had a compression fractur in his thumb and it was very uncommon to see this type of break in a kid and especially in the thumb and he must have taken a very hard fall. His story was he was running down the mountain to PE and tripped and fell and caught himself with just his thumb. I wasn't sure what mountain he was talking about he showed me the next day it was literally he was just running outside on the black top at the school and tripped! And of coarse he tripped right out of both cameras views at the school. But the PE teacher did say it was a pretty hard fall. The ER gave him this brace and told him to wear it unless he was sleeping or showering.

We drove home just as the sun was setting and boy are they pretty from way on top of the mountain!

This is his x-ray its kinda hard to see but on the left had side you can see the fracture on the bottom of the middle bone. We were told to follow up with orthopedics in 7-10 days.

The next day! This is with ice and ibuprofen.

His kitty gave him lots of extra attention and loves!

The third and worst day for swelling and bruising.

He had his follow up on wed. and was so excited the doc said he could continue playing jr. jazz if they would let him play with a brace on and suggested we get him a smaller one on amazon that gave him more range of motion. We are still waiting to hear back if they will let him play or not. He was excited get one that was blue and not boring black.

He has been so brave thru all of this and only asked for medicine to help him a few times. His Next appointment on dec. 14th and he is hoping it will be healed enough then that the wont have to wear a brace on Christmas morning.

October Random.

Korbyn lost another tooth.

And those new ones filled in quick!

The kids decorated Halloween houses.

Cheeto played in the box,

And i made a visit to urgent care after the school looked at the camera footage and realized i wasnt hit in the face witha kick ball but by a Football. They were concerned that my bone had broken by the amount of swelling and bruising that was quickly showing. Not to mention the pain i was in! It was one of the more painful things ive ever been thru in my life! After x-rays it was determined that there were no breaks and i had some bone bruising that took about 2 weeks to finally ease pain wise.

When i got home the kids showed off their haunted houses.

Yes i took a picture before helping her up!

And helping her out.

Erilyn stole my phone and took a bunch of selfies...

I sat down one day and Lue cat trapped me! Hes such a sweet kitty!

Korbyn did a mud mask.

We got to babysit Rex!

And make fun Halloween pretzels.

The cats napping together.

And guarding the door.

Erilyn got into making rubber band things.

"laxing"

Spring pictures came! Its always fun to see how much the  kids grow in a year.

Cuaght this kid in the storage room with an open bag of powdered sugar when he saw me he jumped and the bag squirted all over him!

Cheeto tried to sneak into lagoon with us!

Frightmares for the win!

Erilyns 3rd and 4th grade teacher went with us Erilyn had a blast showing her all the favorite rides.

Red ribbon week/crazy hair day!

We cat sited for a neighbor the kids loved getting play with even more cats.

Lagoon one last time with cousins!

The sky coaster was finally open and London was there so went! I forgot how fun that ride is!

The annual Halloween dinner. I made the pretzel desserts.

And these scalloped potatoes with blood on them. Long story short when i was in 1st grade I cut my finger making these and no one would eat them because they swore they saw blood in every bite.

And Erilyn made herself these to take to school on Halloween.
