First day of school?

First day of school Aug. 24th  The first day of school was delayed 2 weeks to allow the teachers to meet with each student one on one and train on how to do the new homeschool canvas that we are forced to use this year. Our district decided to not give parents the option to return to in person school and start all online.

/So on Sept. 8th we did our traditional first day of school photoshoot with the kids. We didn't get as many pictures as we usually would because it was on the colder side and VERY windy. We had a wind storm the night before and winds got so strong they were upwards of 110 mph on the boarder of a category 3 hurricane force winds.

As you can see in the picture above the the wind blew open our garage door so after we took that picture i went to close it hitting Korbyn in the head!! So after we both sat and cried for a bit we took a few more pictures and headed to ''school''...

After pics the kids got logged on and did school with their teachers for 10 min. before they cancelled for the day. The wind storm had knocked power out for a lot of the district, they canceled the fallowing day. They sent out reminders that that school would start on Thurs. Sept. 10th ill post about how that went in a different post....

Th side panel finally came and the kids immediately started playing with the box!!

After the side panel came we went to splash summit a water park we can go to once with our get out pass. I didnt get any pictures while we were there because my phone was safely tucked away in a locker but we did all get sun burned we put sun screen on but we were having so much fun we forgot to re-apply and lost track of time.

Luckily the kids werent to bad as they have all been out in the sun in swim suits a few times this summer me this was the first time. it has already peeled twice.

Canning again so far we have done 7 quarts of diced tomatoes and 2 quarts plus a pint of salsa.

Erilyn made me a surprise lunch one day!

Gramma Cornie gave all the kids new rugs for thier rooms so we had to take everything out to lay them.

While we were at it we swaped Erilyn and korbyns rooms so he could be closer to the bathroom and Erilyn could have the bigger room.

After we switched rooms it was driving Erilyn nuts that her room said it was Korbyns so she switch some of the Letters/

She was happy when i found letter at the $1 store to replace them.

The girls set up this party one day while i was busy folding laundry.

We got to meet baby Macie! this is Erilyns special friend AJs little sister.

And this girl learned to pogo with no hands!!
