Erilyn turns 7!

I cant believe its been 7 years since i became a mom! I couldn't have asked for a better oldest child and example for her younger siblings. She is an example and leader both at home and at school. She is good at pretty well everything she tries and is a fast learner. 

She was so excited for her birthday she wrote a schedule.

She was excited that giggles left her a note on her birthday.

The only thing she wanted on her birthday was to get her ears pierced. We decided she was old and responsible enough to get them done and told her yes. I showed her YouTube videos of it being done and  made sure that this was for sure something she wanted. She said yes and didn't even make a face when they pierced them!!
I was so proud of her and so was every one in the store.

On the kids birthday we leave all the planning up to them. They get to choose the activities and meals for the day. We went out to eat breakfast a Jbs and had turkey sandwiches for lunch i thought for sure she would choose some where to eat nope.... She chose to eat Salisbury steak, green beans and smashed potatoes for dinner.

This is one of the countdowns that the kids look forward to the most! 

Giggles.

 Giggles returned to our home on the December 1 and brought our Christmas books like usual.....

When we were decorating for Christmas the kids said they thought it would be cool if giggles had her own tree like they do so she brought one.

And decorated it a few days later.

She got hungry and had a fruit snack.

She brought the traditional ginger bread house one day and mom and dad built it while they were at school and decorated and ate it as soon as we got home from school.

She brought popcorn and a tv one night.

She also brought foam houses to decorate one night the kids loved it!! And yes Korbyn did do one also but he destroyed it before i could get a picture.

We took the kids down town one day after school to see Santa, the candy windows, and the giving machines. We explained to them that not all parents have money to send to Santa to help make gifts that some kids don't have food or homes and that we got the opportunity to help with these machines. We couldn't buy much but let each of the kids pick out a cheep gift to buy. We got a backpack full of snacks, a mac and cheese dinner, and a fish dinner. The kids loved getting to push the buttons. And the sweet sister missionary who gave me a hug and told me was a great mom made my day.

WE surprised the kids after school one day and took them to see Incredibles 2 in the $ theater.

Erilyn and i had a little mommy daughter date we went to dinner and shopping its to much fun to see her growing up and becoming more responsible.

I made sweet and condensed caramel and we had apples and little picnic in the front room one day.

Erilyn has been teaching her self hoe to do cartwheels and in the process of one one day she miss judged how close she was to the table and hit it pretty hard cutting her foot open.

I showed Erilyn how to braid one night and she did this the next day on Enslies hair!!

WE decorated for Christmas.

And wrote Christmas lists for santa to pick up before thanksgiving.

They were excited to get minion apple juice and their own boxes of pop tarts from Santa and elf pj's from giggles. 

My friend came over to barrow something and i went out to help load it in her car and Korbyn wanted to come out side... i told he couldn't because he wasn't dressed. He came out a few min later with shoes on and said that he was dressed!

It was only about 40 degress outside!!

On black friday 711 had a byoc day so we had to go get a slurpee!

The kids were so excited to see the first snow of the season i however was not. So the kids played outside and i made them lunch and hot cocoa.
