I want to add that i like to watch tv. my favorite movie is the Santa clause movie. I also like to play with hunter.

9 year old well check.

 On Jan. 4th Erilyn had her well check. They checked her blood pressure it was 118/70. She weighed 70.4lbs (75%) and was 55.6in (90%) they also pricked her finger to check her cholesterol. Her cholesterol levels were 110 for one (below 200 is good) and the other was 70 ( above 60 is good). The doctor also noticed a slight curve in her spine but doesn't think that it needs an x-ray quite yet. She made a note in her chart and if it doesn't improve or gets worse by her next visit she may need to get an x-ray. Everything else checked out normal the doc said looks healthy and to keep up the good work. 

The doc did check for signs of puberty and there are still none but the talking about it peaked her interest. And given that a close friends daughter started her period over Christmas break and she is only 9 I figured I should talk to her about everything the word puberty means. When she has had questions about stuff before and I have always given honest, but not necessarily whole answers. She seemed to be ok with everything I was telling her and soaked it all in. I told her if she thinks of questions to talk to me about it rather then ask a friend. She asked a few more question about everything then seemed satisfied. She did say that she is happy that the doctor says she doesn't need to worry about any of that quite yet though.

New years eve/day

These first few pictures actually happened on the 30th. We have been noticing for awhile that our water heater was going out it would start really hot but wouldn't last long at all. When we could no longer fill up even half of our bath tub with out the water running out, we decided it was time to start looking into our options of a new one. We looked at RC. Willey and Lowes to price out our options. Then we remembered that the insurance thru the city we have on our indoor plumbing may pay for it. So we gave them a call and the sent out guys the next day to look at it.

I told them the issue and they took a look they found a date on it from 2003! They were shocked that it lasted as long as it did! After talking to them they told us what the insurance would cover, what they wouldn't, over all it cost $1,500 and insurance would cover $1,000! I called Travis they called the insurance then insurance called Travis to verify. next thing I knew I was looking for a hose to drain the water out of the heater.

Out with the old in with the new.

Its been so nice being able to bath all the kids and not run out of hot water!

That black thing is Erilyns cat under the blanket and laying on a pillow man those kitties are so spoiled!

We decided to take the kids bowling to do something fun to celebrate. When we got there the guy at the desk said that the pass didn't work on holidays I told him that if it didn't work it wouldn't even let me pull it up let alone get to the venue accept that i was on ( we learned this on veterans day when tried to go bowling not even realizing it was a holiday). He said well bowling is an hour wait right now any way... I said well what about golf he said there's no wait for that and I will be nice and let you use your pass to do that. So we went mini golfing instead. The kids new masks they were wearing glowed a ton and they thought it was so cool!

After mini golf the kids wanted pizza at fat cats we waited 10 min and no one helped us so we played a few games in the arcade and headed out. We told the kids we could get pizza on the way home or got out to eat in a restaurant. The las time they ate INSIDE a restaurant was in Feb., for uncle Matts birthday. SO they were excited about that idea and want to go to Ihop. They have been interested in that place for awhile as we drive by it every time we go to the store and I have told them that Hampa used to work there. Well we get there and the parking lot is empty! Travis looks on the door and they close at 6 its 5:45 so we decide to go some where else. We call Chuck a Rama they are open till 7 and busy so then I remember I have a gift card for Chilies we call there they are open till 11 and not busy so we decide to go there.

After google maps took us to Village inn instead we found Chilies a block away they told us it was 20 min. wait. We couldn't wait inside the restaurant so we walked across the parking lot to trader joes they closed at 6 it was like 5:58 so we walked around for a bit. and then waited in the car for the text.

Since we had a gift card and it was the first time the kids had been in a restaurant in over 10 months we let them pick fancy drinks. Korbyn got a blue lagoon it had fish candy in it. Erilyn got a root beer that came in a bottle and Enslie got pineapple juice.

All 3 kids ordered pizza and oranges and shared a pineapple. They all ate SO good! 

I got sizzling fajitas the kids thought it was so cool that they were actually sizzling when they came out.

And daddy got steak!

When we got home we played a game of life where daddy beat me by 200k! The girls were a ways behind us. After the game I decided to try out the new water heater myself and take a hot bath it felt SOO nice but it made me so tired I went right to bed! We told the kids they could stay up and watch a movie or be ok with watching the New York ball drop at 10 they watched New York and tried to make it to midnight.

I took this picture right before I fell asleep about 11 at midnight I was woke up to the sound fire works going off like crazy outside so I got up to see if any one made it and they were all asleep!
2020 was definitely a crazy year!
The kids only attended in person school for 2 and a half months of the year!! 
 We found out that our old house can survive a 5.7 earthquake and hurricane force winds!
We lost Travis' dad to cancer kind of suddenly.
We found out Enslie has scoliosis.
We made the hard decision to keep our kids in their current school even though online is hard for all of us.
Got 2 new couches.
I made the decision to stop baby sitting daily to focus on getting a certified to work at the kids school, then switched my focus to helping the kids with online school instead.
We redid our kitchen.
Got new floor thru out.
Spent a week end in St. George for the Hammond reunion.
Enjoyed Lagoon and a the water park with no crowds!
Took a very late spring break trip.
Got use to the presence of plexie glass, masks everywhere, social distancing and the smell of hand sanitizer. 
2020 was definitely a year to learn and grow.

 

Christmas day 2020

Christmas morning started at 3:30 am when Enslie came into our room and said she had to pee. Well the only way to get her to the bathroom to pee was to go past the room where Santa usually sets up Christmas. She said she really had to go so I  told her pull up her shirt to cover up her eyes. We started goin up the stairs and she decided she didn't have to go any more. I told her I was awake now and I didn't want her to pee the bed so I made her go. The second we got down stairs she asked if I had seen if Santa came I told her I wasn't sure because I was to worried about making sure she wasn't peaking and to go back to bed.  When she got back in bed she woke up Erilyn and they started talking and came in to see if they could go yet. It was about 4:30 at this time I said to wait at least another half an hour till 5 they woke up korbyn and came in every 5 min till 4:45 when we finally gave up.

Everything all set up ready to be seen.

The cats each got a stocking this year, I wonder if its because they stayed away from the tree?

Erilyns stash she got modeling clay, a teal lama fureal, head phones. a tie-dye kit, a polaroid camera, and a Barbie styling head.

Enslies stash she got a science kit, a unicorn fureal, a marble run, head phones, an art kit and a terrarium

Korbyns stash he got a tablet (earlier in the month) a dinosaur fureal, a flipping rc car ,a dinosaur egg, magnetic shapes, and a bike.

Stocking contents this year. They each got anther switch game, a chocolate figure, a box of junior mints, sour straws, nerds ropes and clusters, Bueno candy bar, crabby patties, a kinder egg, Chapstick, a marshmallow Santa fun facemasks, band aids, baby bottle pops, ring pops, crayons, the girls got  face masks the kind that are wet and you put on your face to soften it. The girls also got new brushes and perfume, Korbyn got a batman doll, the girls got lol pets balls, and they all got candy necklaces and a huge thing of cotton candy.

Korbyn curled up in a ball on the floor and fell asleep for about 3 hours!

About noon I popped this baby in the oven.

Once the ham was done cooking we wrapped it up and loaded up in the car to go to Matts. Korbyn ate his blue rung pop I'm not sure if you can tell....

My yummy ham! We also had fancy mac n cheese, potatoes and veggies for Christmas dinner/ lunch. 

the kids opened thier presents from Gramma, Grandpa, uncle Matt and Nisha they all got new Minky blankets and fancy water bottles.

We hung out for a bit before leaving the kids with Gramma so the rest of the adults could go see wonder woman 84. It was good but long after we went to see Nisha and Tristens dad he gave Korbyn a dinosaur egg extracting kit, Enslie got a baby doll carrier and Erilyn got a bike seat for her baby dolls. and Travis and i got a target gift card.

The next day we cleaned the house and did a volcano science experiment before heading to my moms to get presents from her and have lunch. 

These were what the kids all got from her as a kids present, Korbyn got a balloon powered car, the girls got scribble scrubbles, Travis and both got battery chargers for our cars, and the whole family got romen and a year zoo pass!

By the 27th I was over the Christmas clutter, so we took down Christmas! Erilyn thought it was funny that the heater vent blew up her night gown.

 The day before we took down Christmas we found a new tree for half off!! Its way cool it can be color or white lights and actually has room under it for presents. After 3 toddlers and 2 kittens our old tree was pretty trashed so we put it on the curb with a free sign! It was gone the next morning. Over all we had a great christmas!
