No surprise wake ups this morning!
I sleep until about 6:30 the girls are awake but quiet.
About 7:30 i go up to get them fed and power up the computers for home school.
They both do surprisingly well Enslie is all done for the day by 11.
I make the kids lunch hot dogs, chips and their choice of snack food to go with it.
12:50 the kids are finally both all done for the day.
I think we are getting the hang of this!!

Home school day 4
I'm woken at 6:45 to another aftershock at first i couldn't tell if I'm just shaking from being scared or from an earth quake.
I don't hear the girls... either I'm crazy or the girls didn't feel it.
I decide to get up and check on them they don't say anything about it and ask if there is going to be another one soon.
I get them fed.
The school just called for the 15th time.
Family confirms i'm not crazy there was a 3.3 aftershock around the time i woke up.
I'm babysitting the boys today their mom somehow is still massaging thru all this!!
I load everyone in the van and go to the school to pick up the girls packets for school.
The school calls for the 16th time.
They are so excited that they all want to get going right away. I cant get the online portal to work so we work on some of the papers and do some lexia while i wait to hear back from the teacher.
The kids are already bored and complaining that they are starving for the first time they all want the same thing... ramen.
I finally got the online portal fixed i was typing something wrong. The kids can now catch up on their work.
The boys finally go home.
Enslie is done with school Erilyn has one more thing to do but is taking a break.
Finally both girls are done.
They just want to relax and watch tv i take some time to relax as well and realize its almost 2 and i never ate lunch i guess the sugar cookie im eating works right?
Korbyn is asleep.
A few min later i notice that Enslie is asleep also.
I get some cleaning done.
The school texted and emailed again but no call this time.
I accidentally wake Korbyn while cleaning out the kitty litter and hes not happy about it.
My alarm goes off to to take the garbage cans to the curb for pick up tomorrow of course its raining and COLD.
Travis texts a coupon code for 2 free burger king kids meals. Burger king is one of my least favorite but cooking doesn't sound fun either so i tell him to grab some on the way home.
London calls to talk to Erilyn they discuss the earth quake from yesterday and St. Patricks day.

The kids all wanna watch Incredibles .
IT doesn't last long they are fighting so we send them to bed.

Homeschooling day 3
Was woken up at around 7:05 to a magnitude 5.7 earthquake!!
Yes you read that right an earthquake!
I ran up stairs to check on the girls, they were awake and scared but ok. There were spices all over the kitchen from falling off the shelf. Next i ran downstairs to check on Korbyn he was and is still asleep.
Travis called to check on us.
The plants are still swinging.
The power is back on now.
Another smaller one comes we run outside the neighbors are all out side to.
The neighbors across the street don't have power, so they bring me a phone to charge.
I start checking on everyone they are all ok! Whew that was crazy!
The school calls, texts, and emails we cant pick up the kids packets today until the damage to all the schools is assessed.
The girls do some lexia to get some sort of schooling in since i still have no idea what I'm doing.
I check to make sure our foundation and garage are ok. They are.
The bishop stops by to bring us m&ms and check on us.
The girls wont leave my side.
The internet is down.
I realize i should probably feed the kids its lunch time now... they all have something different.
The kids are still shooken up but keep begging to do cookies. I decide to make them i mean i can teach math, science, and art with sugar cookies right? We make the dough and get it in the fridge.
Travis calls he is on his way home.
Its time to roll out the sugar cookies the kids fight over who gets to use what cookie cutter. We finally decide who is using witch one.
I start to roll out the cookies and a 4.6 magnitude after shock hits. The girls are both crying, Korbyn isn't sure what to think this is the first one he has been awake for. The girls wont leave daddies side while i finish cutting and baking the cookies.
The kids finally after very short naps are calmed down now, and ready to frost cookies. We try to take some to some neighbors none of them are home.
A neighbor girl is over now coloring with the girls.
I just counted the school has called 14 times since Friday!
The kids decide they feel safer outside we remind them safe places out side to go just incase another one hits.
Korbyn decides to stay inside and play on daddies phone.
I realize its time to make dinner... Tacos sound good!
They all eat surprisingly well.
We decide to get in comfy clothes and watch frozen 2 the kids are all sorts of jumpy and wont go upstairs to potty by them selfs.
Once the movie is over we tell the kids they have to brush teeth and go to bed.
Enslie is crying so we say an extra prayer and remind her that the worst of it is over and the house is safe and remind them what to do if another one hits.
About 9:30 the internet goes out again witch means their tvs don't work i'm up resetting the router and trying to keep kids quiet so they don't wake up daddy.
9:45 the interent is working again and all is well again.

Homeschooling day 2
The kids don't wake up and destroy the house so we are off to a good start!
The leprechaun on the other hand left glitter prints and chocolate coins everywhere.
Its laundry day the kids have been sitting around snacking most of the day and watching tv while do laundry and fold it.
I convinced both girls to do Lexia. Its their online reading program that they do at school. Enslie cried the whole time and said she was tired but got in like 33 min. Erilyn wasn't much better and logged about the same amount of time.
No-one wanted what i made for lunch and tried to talk me out of it, but they all ate the frozen cheese pizza. Korbyn ate his with ketchup.
A friend stopped by to pick up some clorox wipes she didn't have any and couldn't find any anywhere i told her i had an extra she could have. She seemed hesitant to come inside and didn't chat long.
I put dinner in the crock pot corned beef and cabbage. yummy!
Both the girls teachers have reached out to me about picking up packets from the school tomorrow. I also got a call saying the exact same thing.
I keep forgetting to turn off my alarm to remind its about time to go get the girls from school. It goes off every school day at 2:05, i kinda like it its like a reminder that one day hopefully soon, i will be able to go pick them up from school again.
The kids are finally sick of tv and asked to go outside its so quiet in here for the first time in awhile!
Outside didn't last long, but i was able to sneak some ice cream with out getting caught.
Got another call from the school about checking out computers and picking up packets tomorrow. The school calling is getting very annoying.
Daddy is home now hes playing the Wii u with the kids while i put away clothes, fold more clothes, and put the finishing touches on dinner.
Dinner was kinds a fail the corned beef was really dry and tough the vegetables were good though.
After dinner we rode bikes and scooters around the block the neighbor girl joined us.
The kids all took baths, and went to bed easy.

Homeschooling day one.
I slept in till 715. I'm not sure when the kids got up but the house is a disaster. It wasn't this bad when they went to sleep.... I've already had half a zipfizz. I'm gonna need it. Told the kids they had to clean their rooms. They told me i should just do it because i would have done it it myself if they were at school.... Is it April yet?
The kids aren't wrong i would have but its hard to clean when they are here it helps to have them concentrate on room at a time. 2 and a half hours later we are done.
I get a call for Primary children's they are cancelling our appointment we waited a month to get into for Enslie. She does have scoliosis and a pelvic tilt we don't know how bad it is or what we can do to help her i was waiting for this appointment to do a post based on what they said. We are on the top of the wait list and they will call us as soon as things calm down to reschedule.
The kids think they are starving, even though they have been snacking all day. I make grilled macaroni and cheese sandwiches only one kid eats them Erilyn begs to have ramen instead.
The kids teachers both reach out to see if we have a computer and internet at home for homeschooling.
I told them if they help finish cleaning the house we can make leprechaun traps, 3 hours later the house is clean. They make their traps, destroy the dining room and i now have glitter EVERYWHERE!
I decide its recess time the kids play i clean up the yard a bit.
They decide they are starving after playing for 10 min and make them selfs a snack of cheese tortillas and fun dips with orange juice to drink. They eat it picnic style outside and leave the mess.
They decided its time to ride scooters and bikes that only lasts a few min before they are bored. And they leave them all over the yard.
They come in and play in Korbyns room destroying it.... Is it bed time yet!?
While they are playing i try to relax on the couch and watch Netflix, the kids jump all over the place. Korbyn decides its cuddle time and insists on watching paw patrol I'm so over the day and don't want to be touched.
I decide i should make dinner, i don't feel like cooking. Frozen nuggets and taquitos it is! Only Enslie eats Travis is home now hes tired and takes a bath while i try to get the kids to eat more, unsuccessfully.
The kids are watching TV now i'm just trying to relax on the couch. Finally its bed time the kids probably need baths i'm not in the mood for it, they go to bed with no baths. After i read with Erilyn and Enslie.
I take a nice long hot both in the dark to decompress cry a little and pray this doesn't last long!!

The covid 19 virus.
There has been a virus going around and it has gotten kind of out of hand its one that until now was mostly just found in animals and mutated and is now spreading rapidly thru out the world. Its so bad that most stores are out of a lot of the essentials like Toilet paper and canned beans. Luckily i listened to the spirit and stocked up on some of these things before it got really bad.

| I knew things were getting bad when the recreation center by our house had this posted on their door when we went for swim lessons on Thursday. A few days before this the church announced that our upcoming general conference would have no one in attendance accept for the speakers and key people. There were rumors of cancelling school i never thought in a million year they would do that!! Well Friday night they officially cancelled school for 2 weeks and we are waiting on more info from the school on what that will exactly look like. Im going to to be daily blogs for a bit to keep track of how homeschooling goes!! |
2 New couches!?
When Travis and i got married we were gifted a living room set although nice, it was meant for a smaller room then we have. No matter how i arranged it there was always weird dead space. It drove me nuts but i dealt with it. But after 10 years, 3 kids and 2 cats destroying them i couldn't stand it any more. And talked Travis into using some of our tax money to buy a new sectional for the front room Here are some before pictures.

| We also got a newer used tv from Travis brother Matt so we went a head and installed that. |

| We were able to find all but one piece for upstairs on clearance one piece was in Syracuse and their clearance team doesn't deliver to Slc so we put all the seats down in the van and Picked it up. The kids fought over who got to put their feet up! |

| We put plastic caps on the kitties nails to hopefully stop them from clawing the new couches. |

| We gave our old couches to Connor who conveniently was moving into his own apartment the weekend all this went down. We helped him load it on the truck and set it up at his apartment perfect fit! while the room was empty we scrubbed the floors and walls! |

| While we waited for the new couches to arrive we put the couches from downstairs upstairs since we all ready had half of the one for downstairs. |

| I didn't realize how beat up these ones really were. these were pics i took to show the damage to the people in the ward who took this couch. |

| While i had all the cushions off for cleaning the kitties decide that they were going to climb inside the couch!! |

| We also got a new rug it was rolled up pretty tight and had lots of wrinkles so we used weights to to help straighten it out. |

| The finished product!! The couch fits the room so much better! And its something that i picked out and wasn't just given and hoped that it worked. I found it and chose it along with my husband we measured and planned and made sure it would be perfect. I find myself just looking tin the room and smiling because i love how it turned out so much!! |
