Halloween weekend 2021

On friday after school we had my sister and her kids over to decorate Halloween cookies.

After cookies we got the kids all dressed up and walked over to the kids school for a trunk or treat.

then we came home for a fun dinner of monster sloppy joes! And a salad (that wasnt as good as it sounded)

The after math of 7 kids trunk or treating.

The next morning we picked out and carved pumpkins.

Korbyn cleaned and carved his pumpkin all by himself!

It turned out so cute!

Erilyn also did hers all by herself and was able to get vision of a cat to work.

Enslie chose a witch and needed alittle bit of help with the smaller parts but did hers mostly on her own to!

Then we got ready to go to the ward trunk or treat.

There wasn't a very good turn out but the kids got lots of candy!

Then we put out a bowl of candy that Erilyn insisted on organizing, And headed out to see if any one was handing out candy.

There were a few houses giving out stuff but they were definitely few and far between we ended up walking a lot further then we usually would but the kids had fun!

This is why we wait for the last min. to carve pumpkins!

Korbyns 3 day total! It was alot of fun making a weekend of the holiday. The kids had a blast1

 

Hammond Reunion 2021

The night before we left Korbyn got stung by a wasp. Knowing from his past i knew he was allergic and that he needed some sort of anti-inflammatory And gave him ibuprofren since it was only 4:30 and I didn't want him falling asleep early from Benadryl. I then called the pediatrician because I could remember how much to give him and how long I had to wait between the 2 medications. they said to switch between the 2 every 2-3 hours depending on pain and swelling. And as always to watch him closely for other reactions like trouble breathing etc.

The next morning we packed up the car and headed to Las Vegas.

The kids were excited to get their cousin crew matching Christmas pjs.

While the kids watched a movie the adults sat by the hot tub and chatted.

These girls were excited to all sleep together.

The next morning the kids were all playing in the pool and i happened to glance at Korbyns ankle and realized i never gave him anything else for his sting!! His whole ankle was swollen! Again being early in the morning didn't want to give him Benadryl so i went to get the ibuprofren and realized i never put it back in the bag. None of the other moms had any luckily Travis was at the store and was able to get that and some ice packs to help the swelling.

The kids played he didn't even skip a beat!

After ibuprofren and icing it we decided it was time for some Benadryl and some rest.

And it finally started to go down.

After that we headed down to the strip to ride the new York new York and watch the volcano it was cancelled so we ran down to watch the end of the fountains then decided to run back to watch the volcano because that last time we watched it Erilyn was a baby.  

But not before grabbing a yummy treat from Carlos bakery.

Before heading out of town we stopped at golden corral to eat brunch

We saw this on the drive home I thought it was funny.

We did something I don't think we have ever done even pre-kids. We drove all the way home with out making any stops! As we were just getting into slc and passing our Sam's club on the freeway the gas light came on but we weren't able to get off in time and fill up. So we just drove all the way home. And filled up the next morning our rage was down to around 15 miles when we finally filled up!!
