July Random.

I love to get pics of the kids sleeping then show them their crazy position the next day.

This is towards the end of a cut Erilyn got on her leg falling down the outside porch stairs. I was surprise with how bad it was that didnt cry!

Dirty face Enslie with a uni-brow,

The kids have been begging all summer to do a slip and slide i finally caved and they had alot of fun!!

Ken Garph Honda sponsored the kids school one day and sent these home when we went to get lunch .

My dare devil loves to climb this tree.

This cute bee stopped to say hi!

The kids helped clean the van really well.

He is surrounded by blankets a pillows and he chose to lay his head on the hard part of his bed!

Enslie proudly brought me this orange juice one morning!!

A few years ago my mom bought me this wax melter. I love it because it has timer on it! Well the kids knocked it over 1 to many times and it was beyond super glue repair i was so sad!! I looked up how much new ones were and it was ridiculous!! So i came up with this $5 fix with a pot i already had and rocks from the dollar store its good as new.

We did a fire one night!

We bought a cow!! i have always wanted to do this!! its nice to always know we have meet but after the first week the kids got tired of eating "Grizz"

Have i ever mentioned how great of a cat Lue is?!

Our fist taste of Grizz....STEAKS! he was so yummy and so juicy we were able to cut him with a butter knife.

The first meal eaten at the brand new counter!

Silly boy!!

Korbyn saw me picking the weed trees and decided to help he found this old cooler to use and felt so "Big" helping me.

The kids helped clean the garbage cans before we put them in our brand new kitchen.

This is one of the things i was most excited for with the new kitchen. Before making sugar cookies was kind of a logistical nightmare with like no usable counter space, It was hard to make them.

The chose cats, hearts, and candy canes.

the other thing that was nice was that the new stove is convection witch means i was able to cook all the cookies in less then 10 min!! 3 cookie sheets at a time a shorter cook time is definitely nice.

Concentrating hard!!

The other thing i was excited to try was freezer jam. of coarse the year we decide to gut our kitchen is the year our raspberries decided to do really well so i froze them and made some as soon as i was able it turned out really yummy alittle runny but yummy!

Look at that face!!

This time he is hanging off the bed!!

Cant forget no-bakes!!

Our first dishwasher casualty. Luckily they were $1 store water bottle the other kind we got don't do this.

The neighbor said that we could hold her baby if we wore face masks the girls could find the ones in my purse and Travis had the van where the rest of them are so this was their make shift masks they came up with on their own.

July was a crazy busy month but oh so fun!!

24th of July 2020

This 24th was definitely different then any other we have ever had. The parade we usually go to in Grantsville was cancelled and Aunt Kd is currently with out a pool so we didn't feel a drive out there was worth it. So we didn't really have any plans to go anywhere. We decided to tackle a project that we were both dreading!

Before we get into it look how cute Lue is all tucked in a for a nap...

Right around the time we got the sprinklers up and going for the season i noticed that the carpet right by bed would randomly get wet but didn't think to much about it. It wasn't ever soaked so i figured the sprinklers were leaking somewhere and prayed that it wasn't damaging the wall. Upon further inspection we noticed that our chimney was no longer attached to the house. We are thinking the earthquake had something to do with it so we calked around the edges to seal it and the flooding seamed to slow down. well we weren't that lucky. I was leaning on the side of the bed one night talking to Travis and my barefoot heal went right thru the wall! It went in way to easy, so Travis stuck his finger in the hole and sure enough the dry wall was all soggy. so we made this our 24th of July project it became alot bigger then we thought!

We (Travis) cut a hole in our wall to get rid of the soggy dry wall her is the finished product. We turned on the sprinklers and the water was literally coming in sheets it looked like that foundation was seeping water!

Next we dug outside to get a better look at the foundation and chimney. As we were spraying down the chimney, Travis just so happened to spray the gas meter that started to bubble and hiss. So we made an emergency call to the gas company they said they would be there in an hour is was closer to half an hour when they arrived. Travis was worried they would think it was something he did to it. But it wasn't it was simply a loose connection likely from when they replaced it a few summers ago. It was a slow leak and was barely noticeable they tightened it and gave it a new paint job.

The finished product. We decided to move the sprinkler away from the house seal the chimney with flex seal inside and out, take out the grass and replace it with mulch to hopefully prevent it from happening again. by bed time we were all so tired that we all fell asleep to our neighbors doing fireworks.
